TILLY is a silver tabby mainecoon- Feb 2005
Tilly came to us as a birthday prezzie for me! John thought if he got me a Mainecoon, as I do like them, I would then shut up about Norwegians! How wrong was he!!
Tilly is now years old, she is a bit like a teenager, only comes downstairs for food and only talks to you when she wants something, usually food! Or when John opens the fridge- because he keeps giving her ham! But they are my cats apparently, although Tilly always goes to John first! And HE spoils them!
Tilly is a first class moth catcher, she has a wild half hour now and then, and will play chase occasionally, then hisses and spits when she gets chased!
She likes the occasional fuss, but tends to nip you when she's had enough, and if you ignore her questions about when dinner is likely to arrive she nips at your hands as you walk by!
A lovely looking cat, and I do believe she would have done quite well on the show bench, but she hates to travel and gets very stressed just going to the vets 20 mins away, therefore she stays at home and safeguards against flies by day and moths by night!
